While reorganizing the small amount of storage space we have in our home, I found my film camera and three unused rolls of film. That thing has been packed away ever since Adam and I went camping at Arches National Park a couple years back. Needless to say, I’m so happy to have found it. I immediately loaded a roll of film, ruining two exposures in the process, and started shooting. Using film is a serious test of my patience. The sooner I take them the sooner I can look at them, right? Waiting for the right moment to take a photo is tough, but is also part of the fun. Making each shot count. Below is my first roll of film and out of 22 exposures, 19 are usable– even likable! That literally never happens when I use my DSLR.
All of these were taken with an Olympus OM-10 SLR 35mm film camera. While I love the ease of my digital cam, there is no denying the unique look and feel that film captures. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do. More to come, I’m sure.
