“A portrait of my family, once a week, every week, in 2017.”

Rowan: Grandma gave you her old digital camera. You’re taking pictures of everything and I love seeing photos from your perspective.

Leora: we call you a sour patch because you’ll do something sneaky or naughty followed by something super sweet.

Rowan: you got your first real haircut by someone other than me! You had been asking to get your hair cut like your uncle Darius for a while (basically you wanted a buzz cut), but we settled on this.

Leora: you’ve become a cat and only say meow!

“A portrait of my family, once a week, every week, in 2017.”

Rowan: you gifted me beautiful leaves for Mother’s Day.

Leora: you love to pick out your clothes and change them often. You love trying on shoes, wearing hats or anything you can put on your head, wearing my wedding ring, and trying on Papa’s watch.

Rowan: you let me know what Leora is saying and thinking. Most of the time you’re right. Other times you use it to your advantage, for example, “I think she said she’s done with her smoothie (so you get to finish it).”

Leora: you’re saying so many new words! Love you, Ro Ro, thank you, and diapey.
