Rowan: playing in the rain before we knew the devastating impact Hurricane Harvey would have. You later wrote an imaginary letter to Papa thanking him for playing in the rain with you.

Rowan: you will spend a good hour rolling “silly pud” into tiny gumballs.

Leora: you are climbing on all of the furniture and opening all of the cabinets and drawers. Rowan thinks its hilarious and fully encourages these explorations.

Leora: each time we take Rowan to school you follow him to the art table, take a seat next to him, and start your own project.

Rowan: you asked me to buzz your hair (even though you’ve made it very clear that you want a completely shaven, cue ball cut. This was our compromise.) and totally freaked out half way through.

Leora: you’re saying so many words! I think I will always be amazed at how fast you and Rowan grow. I’m never ready for it.
